Native to central Mexico and Guatemala, this plant is named for its campanulate yellow orange tinged flowers. Forming herbaceous colonies with much-branched hairy stems to 1m tall bearing ovate-lobed leaves 5-12cm long. With purple green tinted inflated lanterns encasing the yellowish fruit. The species is listed as Near Threatened.
